April - day 11

Joshua 24 - God has proven his power and faithfulness to Israel despite their unfaithfulness.  God is faithful and worthy of our worship.  He wants us to make a choice of who we will serve.  Will we serve God and obey God or will we serve false gods of self, mammon (money/wealth), or pleasure.  I choose Jesus.

Psalm 81 - Israel's sacred celebrations were suppose to remind them of the way he took care of them in the desert and delivered them from their enemies, but they still failed to remain faithful to him.  So God allowed them to experience the results of their own decisions.  But for those who trust in God, he will richly provide for us. 

Mark 4:21-41 - God has given us his light to help us understand his truth.  If we try to ignore the light or discount the truth, we will mis it.  We should listen carefully to God and him for understanding.  Knowledge without understanding is useless.  God is the one who makes the seeds grow and he can turn even the smallest seed into one of the largest garden plants.  I am asking God for more understanding that he would cause his seed inside of me to grow.  

1 Corinthians 8 - Anyone who claims to know all the answers doesn't really know much.  We should consider how our decisions affect others.
