December Day 9

Amos 3-4 - God tried to warn Israel of the coming judgment, but they refused to repent and turn back to God. When we ignore God’s warnings or reject his correction, we are setting ourselves up for trouble.

Job 31:24-40 - Job continues to defend his innocence against the false assumptions and accusations of his friends.  He doesn’t know of anything that he has done wrong.  Job had a clear conscience.  Can we say the same for ourselves?

John 16:25-33 - Even the disciples had a hard time understanding God’s plan while it was happening.  Jesus told us that we would experience trials and troubles as long as we live in this world, but we can find peace and hope in knowing that he has overcome the world.

Revelation 6 - God gave John a vision of events that would happen at the end of time, but it is not clear how or when these events will take place.  Sometimes God gives us visions to prepare our hearts for what is to come, so when it does happen, we won’t be alarmed.
