March - Day 10

Numbers 23-25 - Balaam refused to curse Israel and instead blessed them because that is what God told him to do.  Balak tried 3 times to get Balaam to curse Israel by changing locations hoping for a different outcome.  Often we want God to change his mind but what really needs to change is our heart.  In the end, Balaam was willing to walk away from the riches of Balak in order to obey God. 

Psalm 57 - God will fulfill his purposes for me - I must simply learn to trust him and find my refuge in him.  My confidence isn't in my own ability, but in Christ alone.

Matthew 24:15-35 - God has given us signs to look for and ways to discern the end times.  WE must let the HS lead us so we won't be deceived.  God's word stands forever.  The world we live in and everything in it will pass away, but God's truth will not. That is why we should build our lives on God's eternal truth, not things that are temporary.

Romans 7:1-12 - When we died with Christ by putting our faith in him, we put our old self to death.  We became dead to the power of sin and we were released from the law the because the law that aroused sin.  Now we can serve God by learning to live in the Spirit.
