March - Day 14

Numbers 33-36 - Take time to reflect and remember the things that God has done in the past and allow what God has done to fuel your faith.  God gave each tribe their specific place to live.  This should remind us that God wants to put us exactly where he wants us if we will simply trust and follow his lead.  God then stablished the system for justice.  God wanted them to deal justly and fairly in the court system and with sin.  

Psalm 61 - When I am overwhelmed, God is my refuge and strength. 

Matthew 25:31-46 - What we do with God's love demonstrates our faith or lack of faith.  Faith will always produce the fruit of love. 

Romans 9:1-18 - Those he was writing to would have understood that the Jews believed that they were part of God's chosen people because they were descendants of Abraham, the one God had made the promise to.  Abraham had other sons, but only those born through Isaac were the "chosen".  This illustrates that one day only those who are "reborn" in Christ will be part of God's chosen.  It's not about physical birth, but spiritual birth.  God shows mercy on whoever the decides to show mercy.  He also displays his power and judgment.  Without the power and judgement, we would not fully understand and value his mercy.
