November Day 13

Ezekiel 33-34 - God told Ezekiel that he was the watchman for Israel.  He used him to tell of the coming judgment, but here he begins to change the tone of the message to a message of hope for those who would admit their sin and turn back to him.  God’s message for the leaders was that they failed to protect the flock.  Our job as pastors is to care for and protect the sheep as the Good Shepherd has demonstrated.  He will hold us accountable so we must do what God tells us to do and trust him with the outcome. 

Job 12 - Job responded to his friends by pointing out their lack of empathy.  Though they were proud of their wise words, their human wisdom doesn’t compare with the wisdom that comes from God.  

John 10:22-42 - Jesus proved he was the Messiah by doing what God sent him to do.  The evidence was the miraculous things he was doing yet the people still didn’t believe.

1 John 2:24-29 - God gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us by teaching us truth and helping us discern what is true.  Holy Spirit helps us remain faithful as we remain in fellowship with God daily through the Holy Spirit.
